INTRODUCTION
Back to those days, 1 years + ago... When we were still friends studying in the same school ( SMK Methodist A.C.S ) at the same age but different class. One of them love to sing, another three ones love to play guitar, one more loves to play piano and lastly the one who loves to whack the drums. Most of the times we talked about musics, but still we never think about forming a band that goes around the places for gigs to perform a live band.
Until suddenly.......
There is an event called " IUday" held by our school interact club around the month of May of the year 2006. So, the five of us started to discuss about the event and then suddenly we get the idea of forming a band. So we found a jamming studio named ( Rock Flame Studio) for us to practice nearby our school. We have our singer Michael Yap, Jonathan Lim and Ivan See as guitarist, Melvin as a bassist, Peng Ern the pianist and lastly Choo Yeow Sheng a.k.a " The Drummer "We went there quite often because we`re still new and don`t really know much how to play as a band. After the long process of practicing, there comes the big day for us.
On that particular day, the amount of people is really alot approximately around 300 and above. All of us started to feel nervous and all kinds of mixed feelings, palms getting sweaty and the rate of heart beating increase simultaneosuly. By looking at the big amount of crowd sitting and some standing making lots of noises, we can barely stand still on the stage. Once all of us are called upon the stage, we played the song " Oasis - Wonderwall ( Acoustic Version ), Howie Day - Collide, and lastly the famous song Peterpan - Mungkin Nanti.. By that time we are not known as 6teen yet, our band name is TDC which stands for many meanings such as The Dead Crows, The Devoted Christian , The DaVinci Code, The Dixie Chicks and etc..
The first two songs goes well, and the crowd were showing good response. The last and final song is Peterpan - Mungkin Nanti that really hits that day. It start off with the loud screech, we were really nervous because all of them sing together with us and waving their handphones as they sing along happily. That is the most unforgettable moments for us, since after that day all of us look forward to perform again. And so, we came across the name 6teen because all of us are 16 yrs old and also we start off with 6 teenagers. But then now it turned out to be 5 because one of them just left.. This is how we start off.. Thank you..
