Siri 5 Kumpulan 1 ) well...its 3months...so..jon,when u come home n read this post...take note that...i'll stil b gone for another 2 months...so dun bising wanna emo emo all on the earlier post..hahahaha...... hmmm....i hope everything works out....and um...i hope i dun lose any frens when i come home.. im looking forward to go jamming when im home.. ill oso b home during CNY so u guys btr get redi for me some red packs..hahahah also,dun b shocked if i come home totaly bald...high percentage... well...im off to pack my things now...ill see u guys in 3 monthx... take care guys.. love all of ya...

Do you know the feeling of saying goodbye? Well i don't now but i think i will when i leave.. they always say that absence makes the heart go fonder.. haha, i'm saying as if i'll be away forever but the one month will seem like forever..haha, ok, residential bible school is a place where i would like to find myself.. i've been struggling these few days thinking of what i truly want in my life.. as most of you all know i've always dream of being a pilot but i come to realise tat being a pilot is not all tat easy.. i won't have time for my family and friends as i'll bne flying most of the time haha, enough of emo-ing..

What i really want to say is tat all miss all of you.. family, friends, classmates, and bros! i'll miss all those crazy moments we use to have in high school, which will be apart of my life tat i'll never forget! i really hope tat no matter how busy we will be in our college life we will be able to set apart time to catch up and hang out.. and sorry for always potong-ing all of you guys hope you all understand haha... as for the band members.. even if we break up as a band, 16 will still be apart of us..ok i guess i'll stop here, i'll catch up with all of u guys when i'm back which will be on 31 of januari 2008..Take care and God bless u all abundantly!

Wah lau, just only few days after SPM.. Everyone is doing a make-over, mohawk pun sudah ada... I still haven`t do anything yet for my appearance. Plan to do a mohawk but, ahhhh.. Tak mau la, have to try other style instead. Oh yea, about the piercing, I only want a hole not many.. lol.. I`m waiting for ysheng to do it together. But he`s sick now, ( potong steam ).. So maybe I shall potong you also, lmao.. Now we`re free from high school, no more uniforms, no more short hair and some crazy menopause teachers. Since ysheng is sick, we can`t get to jam. I`m afraid when ivan is leaving he still haven`t recover.. -.-'' .. C`mon ysheng, recover faster and dont be a pussy.. lol..


So who`s gonna take over ivan`s position while he`s away doing some jungle trekking and M16?.. I guess mike gonna be la, we dont have kaki guitar anymore here among our friends. Or maybe just jon alone will menunjuk-nunjuk. But before that, we gotta do a chun make-over for 16. Till the people can`t recognize 16 members if possible. But I sure cannot one la, the tallest is already me, lol.. What ever thing I do also people already know its me, and yea. Looks like some of us here already upgrade our music instrument accessories like ysheng. With all his drums kit, that looks so chun. Then ivan`s FIERCE and toy pedal effect, lol.. I have my fierce also, except for jon.. Heard he`s getting something cool soon...

hey errr.. i dont know how to tittle this up but.. hahah! the pain and pressure im feeling during SPM has finally come to an end! which means i can now concentrate more on the band, drums, outings and girls! like mike said, our high school life has finally ended.. we're now free from all the school rules and stuff..

and i believe all of my fren gonna change their appearances as well. hmmm, i wonder wats in jon's mind? i think he'll go mohawk too cuz he said it b4..
for ivan, i got a feeling he gonna do something terrible cuz after tat he gotta go bald. so ivan, wats in ur mind? mohawk with colours? so ur fingernail gonna change permanent colour to black de la? yeah melvin! melvin melvin.. he's like diam diam ubi berisi la.. i know he gonna get some piercings, cuz he ajak me to get 1.. as a mommy boy, i asked my mom permission and she let me pierce also la. so mel! when wanna pierce? can pierce other part than ear not? hahahah! like errr.. forget it..
mike! u damn potong wei! i mean after spm u straight change entirely huh? so ur mom still recognize u not? got kena whacking from ur bro ar? ur father let u come back house not? dude, i wanna see ur new hairstyle la...and bout how did i come to being so scared of mike. it was my sister la actually.. k know wat, mike was a very famous guy in his primary school, teluk pulai. mmg terkenal gila la. say michael name only all sure know wan no matter wat races, black , white, brown, or wat gender, female, male, or both. and my sis always say something bout mike wan.. she asked me to beware of mike cuz he's kinda gay! and how'd i met mike, was from volleyball la.. i went for the 1st training, and i say mike was in there too! in my mind, i was feeling quite weird la..its like ''eh! wat the hell is the nerd doing in volleyball court?!''..and then, he came and talk to me.. he asked me my name and stuffs la.. woah! at tat time.. i was so scared tat i gonna piss on my pants.. i just layan him then quickly ran away.. and after some time, i found out tat, he was actually a great guy la! he's got a sexy voice, sexy body,sexy characteristics, and sexy everything. k sounds like im more gay now. and i always wanted to approach him, but cuz of we're in different class, so its kinda awkward rite? thanks to the formation of this band, now we're all so close to each other!

and ppl, i know, some of u think tat im innocent in ur mind. some even call me the blur boy , shy boy, and macam macam la. actually, im not tat THAT like wat u think la..hahaha.. so, do u know tat actually the drummer boy also did something to himself? and maybe ppl will start laughing at me if they know wat happened to me. i feel confused and regret at the same time but, since i've done it, i gotta face the critics from ppl la.. and i guess im rdy for it already.. and if u ppl wanna know wat is it about, it'll be revealed within 1 month.. yes i need time to recover and also prepare myself physically and mentally to kena kutuk.

SPM is finally over..guess it's time now to look forward and plan? Leaving high school is definitely a scary thing but i guess everyone looks forward to it..haha..well, no more funny class moments, no more trying to 'ampu' the teachers, no more prefect duties, no more IU day performances, no more PJ-ing in the rain, no more wahab's nasi ayam and no more chairing meetings...as glad as i am that high school is over, i'm sure gonna miss a few things that to me, were the CORE of my high school life..many people undergo character change as they grow throughout high school..i personally think that i didn't change tht much but i HAVE learned alot from BB, friends and experiences. Kk, i think i'm going off topic edi..hahaha..anyway, i was thinking about posting something about how i met all the other band members. i guess at the end of something, you always go back to the beginning (if tht makes sense)..haha..here goes:

don't remember exactly when la but i know that i've known him even before we got into ACS..he was the stranger who always joined us (RKC swim team) when we were playing rounders in klang club..haha, those were the times man..

hahahaha...for those of you who have heard this story before, you'd be laughing as well la..on the first day of secondary school, yeow sheng was SO scared of me because he thought i was gay..hahaha..but i don't actually remember how he came to find out that i actually wasn't and we started being friends after that..hahaha..

it has been such a wonderful time hanging out with the band! i'm missing all those jamming sessions la! when are we gonna go JAMMING?! faster la! hahah..anyway, just wanna say that no matter what happens after this, no matter where we each go, 16 will forever remain an important part of me, an important part of my life..16 FOREVER..hahaha

ALIVE?

Last night , I skipped school and tuition because I`m going to perform in MONASH UNIVERSITY at subang jaya at night. So we went for practice and rehearsal as well. The band member is me on bassist , cheekin the guitarist, poh leong the lead, chen choon on the drums, yin yin + yean yean as the singer. Both of them are twins, but they dont looks like each other bcoz their looks is different as they inherit different genes from their dad and mum. We as the Guest Performer perform the song by kim-ah-joong - maria 200 pounds beauty OST ( original version ). Everything went well, just a small minor mistakes we played and I enjoyed the whole talent competition event as well. The singer and performances really impressed me alot, from there I know the big differences between high school and college. There`s a guy who can sing goo goo dolls - iris and howie day - collide very damn good. I have the video if you ppl want.. And here`s the picture for that night..

Our guitarist " Ivan See" is chosen for the National Service. Unfortunately he is the only UNLUCKY one that is selected among us. He will be replaced by another person due to his absence for 3 months till he is back in action..

NAMES BEFORE 16...


When we first came together to choose our band name, we came up with many STUPID and DUMB names..pretty funny when i think back..hahaha.. well, here are the names we actually would have used if nobody knocked some sense into us, along with the names we did use and are using..

1. SHCTLY (pronounced as "SHEEZE-LEE")
2. Tiger Squad (was one of my ideas but it was rejected? haha)

5. Dark Fringe
6. Michael and the guys (REJECTED by Jon)

The ones in RED are the ones that we did use. Guess we should just stick with 16 for now,huh? Oh by the way, you guys might be wondering why 16,rite? Well, it's because we were all 16 when the band was formed? So, by naming ourselves "16", we're actually 'marking down' that special moment of when the band was formed. Hope you guys enjoyed this! (although i don't think there are actually people out there who read this blog..hahah) Bye for now!

EVENTS

16 has joined a few number of events after been formed. Yeah a ''few'' number. Round, 3 or lidet la. Well, lets see... The first wan was IUday 2006 as written below. The second wan was prom night, here are some memories of it

3rd wan? Fiesta Craze! 16 joined battle of the band competition and ended up as 1st placing. Performed or shall i say covered the song starlight and meant to live. Just for ur information, 16 has performed starlight by just having 1 jamming practice. Imagine tat, just 1 practice and the next day we're about to blast. We can still remember how suck it was during the practice, everything out of coordination. Maybe its due to our 1st time practising in a new studio. Hmm, i think it went well during Fiesta Craze, we were shock as well. Here are some memories..

then, 16 joined the ACS IUDAY `07. Performed 3 songs which is what i've done, when the stars go blue and cant take my eyes off you. pics are as below..

6Teen OR 16?


Just wanna get things cleared up. We no longer are 6Teen but instead, we're 16! Not much difference when you say it but 16 looks less boyband-ish compared to 6Teen..and the last thing we want is to be another boyband. Hahah.. Oh yea, one more thing, we (the band) might not be active from now until the end of this year due to SPM and all but we'll definitely be coming back, hopefully stronger than before, AFTER we finish with SPM. Till then, we hope to keep the band alive through this simple blog. So, hope you people out there enjoy this!

INTRODUCTION

Back to those days, 1 years + ago... When we were still friends studying in the same school ( SMK Methodist A.C.S ) at the same age but different class. One of them love to sing, another three ones love to play guitar, one more loves to play piano and lastly the one who loves to whack the drums. Most of the times we talked about musics, but still we never think about forming a band that goes around the places for gigs to perform a live band.
Until suddenly.......

There is an event called " IUday" held by our school interact club around the month of May of the year 2006. So, the five of us started to discuss about the event and then suddenly we get the idea of forming a band. So we found a jamming studio named ( Rock Flame Studio) for us to practice nearby our school. We have our singer Michael Yap, Jonathan Lim and Ivan See as guitarist, Melvin as a bassist, Peng Ern the pianist and lastly Choo Yeow Sheng a.k.a " The Drummer "We went there quite often because we`re still new and don`t really know much how to play as a band. After the long process of practicing, there comes the big day for us.

On that particular day, the amount of people is really alot approximately around 300 and above. All of us started to feel nervous and all kinds of mixed feelings, palms getting sweaty and the rate of heart beating increase simultaneosuly. By looking at the big amount of crowd sitting and some standing making lots of noises, we can barely stand still on the stage. Once all of us are called upon the stage, we played the song " Oasis - Wonderwall ( Acoustic Version ), Howie Day - Collide, and lastly the famous song Peterpan - Mungkin Nanti.. By that time we are not known as 6teen yet, our band name is TDC which stands for many meanings such as The Dead Crows, The Devoted Christian , The DaVinci Code, The Dixie Chicks and etc..

The first two songs goes well, and the crowd were showing good response. The last and final song is Peterpan - Mungkin Nanti that really hits that day. It start off with the loud screech, we were really nervous because all of them sing together with us and waving their handphones as they sing along happily. That is the most unforgettable moments for us, since after that day all of us look forward to perform again. And so, we came across the name 6teen because all of us are 16 yrs old and also we start off with 6 teenagers. But then now it turned out to be 5 because one of them just left.. This is how we start off.. Thank you..
